This page explains how to delete the data associated with Mochi, the emotion-tracking app published by Coders Atelier. It is a companion to the Mochi Privacy Policy.
As soon as you turn Notifications off, the app asks our server to delete your registration. The server removes the device row, any reminders still pending for it, and its notification delivery endpoint.
Reminders are on by default: a new installation registers your device with our server on first launch, without you turning anything on. So there is normally a registration to delete, and these steps are what deletes it.
To also remove everything stored on the phone itself, uninstall Mochi (or clear its storage from your device settings). That erases the local database permanently.
Turning off Notifications deletes all of the following from our server:
Nothing is kept after deletion. Once you turn Notifications off, none of the data listed above is retained by Coders Atelier.
Separately, any registration that is left without activity expires automatically after 180 days, even if you never turn Notifications off.
| Data | Where it lives | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Random install identifier, notification token, time zone, reminder window | Our server (only while reminders are on) | Deleted immediately when you turn Notifications off; otherwise expires automatically after 180 days without activity |
| Your emotions, notes, tags, sessions and streaks | Only on your phone — never sent to our server | Kept until you delete them in the app or uninstall Mochi |
Your emotions, notes, tags, sessions and streaks live exclusively in the local database on your phone. They are never transmitted to us, so there is nothing of that kind for us to delete. They are removed permanently when you uninstall Mochi or clear its data.
